Ruins of the Fukuoka Castle

The Fukuoka castle, it was the castle of the Kuroda clan in the Edo era.
The shape of the castle seen from Hakata Bay was similar to the shape of a crane bird dancing, it was called Maizuru castle.
Currently it is Maizuru Park. Only the stone wall of the castle remains, but it is a place for citizens to enjoy cherry blossoms in full bloom every spring.
Visitors from many countries visit there a lot.
You can see a nice view of the center of Fukuoka city from the observation deck of the castle.
